How does Capture Studio update?
Automatically. When you start Capture Studio, Windows checks for a new version, at most once every 24 hours. If there is one, it's installed the next time you open the app. Nothing else is needed.
Can I update right away instead of waiting?
Yes. Close Capture Studio, open PowerShell and run:
Add-AppxPackage -AppInstallerFile (Get-AppPackageAutoUpdateSettings -PackageFamilyName 04610A7C-C255-4B7E-957A-FB769B2F018D_jyhampgpd702y).AppInstallerUri
If you already have the newest version, it finishes without changing anything.

Get-AppxPackage -Name 04610A7C-C255-4B7E-957A-FB769B2F018D | Select-Object Version
Why am I not getting the newest version?
Updates are included for the period your licence covers. After that you keep the last version released inside that period, and it keeps working. Renew to get newer versions.
